Cookie Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, which of them the phoenixtech.gr website uses, for what purpose and for how long, and how you can control or withdraw your consent. Our website takes a privacy-friendly approach: it stores only what is technically necessary, and any analytics cookie is activated only after you have given your explicit consent. This Cookie Policy supplements our Privacy Policy and should be read together with it.

What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences for a period of time, so that you do not have to enter them again each time you visit or move from one page to another.

By ‘similar technologies’ we mean mechanisms that, like cookies, store or read information on your device. Specifically, our website uses your browser's localStorage technology to store your cookie consent choice locally. Unlike many cookies, information in localStorage is stored only on your own device and is not sent to the server automatically.

Categories of cookies we use

The website uses only two categories: strictly necessary and analytics. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not carry out profiling for advertising purposes and we do not share your data with third parties for advertising. We also use Cloudflare's cookieless analytics service (see below), which does not store or read cookies or localStorage.

  • Strictly necessary: these are essential for the basic operation of the website and for remembering your choices. This category includes the local storage of your consent choice (the pt-consent key in localStorage), which remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies so that the banner is not shown to you again. Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the contact form from bots (see below), also belongs to this category. No consent is required for this category, as it is technically necessary.
  • Analytics: these help us understand how the website is used (e.g. which pages are most popular), in anonymous, aggregated form, so that we can improve the user experience. We use Google Analytics 4 (the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies), which is activated only if you give your explicit consent. There are no advertising or marketing cookies on the website.

Cookie table

The table further down this page lists the technologies the website uses, with the name, provider, purpose, duration and category of each. The exact durations of the Google Analytics cookies are set by the provider (Google) and may change.

Google Analytics and international transfers

For analytics, we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, which acts as a processor on our behalf. The cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) are set only if you have given your consent, which we manage through Google Consent Mode v2. Consent Mode defaults to ‘denied’ for all storage categories until you choose otherwise. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Your consent covers analytics only: the advertising signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) always remain disabled.

Google's script (from googletagmanager.com) is not loaded at all before you give your consent. This means that, without consent, your browser sends no requests to Google through our website, no analytics cookies are set and no statistics are collected.

Google's services may involve transferring data outside the European Economic Area (e.g. to the US). Such transfers take place subject to the appropriate safeguards provided for in the General Data Protection Regulation (e.g. adequacy decisions and/or Standard Contractual Clauses). You can find more information about how Google processes data in Google's own privacy policy.

How to give or withdraw consent

On your first visit, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the screen, where you can choose to ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ analytics cookies. Until you make a choice, no analytics technology is activated. Your choice is stored locally (pt-consent) so that we can respect it on future visits.

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the ‘Cookie settings’ link at the bottom of every page and in the menu. If you withdraw your consent, Google Analytics stops immediately and its cookies (_ga, _ga_<ID>) are deleted from your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in general through your browser settings.

Most browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari, explain how to do this in their help pages. Please note that these settings apply per browser and per device, so you will need to repeat them in each browser and on each device you use.

What happens if you reject analytics cookies

Rejecting analytics cookies does not affect how the website works: you can browse it and use all its features, including the contact form, as normal. We simply will not collect anonymous usage statistics through Google Analytics.

Strictly necessary items (such as pt-consent) stay in place, as they are technically required for us to remember that very choice, and they cannot be disabled without affecting how the website works.

Cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

The website is delivered through Cloudflare's network, and Cloudflare adds a small script (from static.cloudflareinsights.com) to every page to collect aggregate traffic and speed statistics: page views, referring page, country, device type, browser type and load times.

According to Cloudflare, the service does not use cookies or localStorage, does not use fingerprinting and does not track individual visitors over time. For this reason, it does not appear in the cookie table and is not controlled by the consent banner, which covers Google Analytics. The processing is based on our legitimate interests in improving the website; you can block it with a content-blocking extension in your browser.

Cloudflare Turnstile (contact form protection)

To protect the contact form from spam and automated submissions, we use the Cloudflare Turnstile service. It is not loaded while you simply browse the website: it is activated only when you start filling in the form and, in most cases, works invisibly, without asking you to solve a puzzle.

Turnstile runs inside a Cloudflare frame (iframe) and processes technical data (e.g. IP address, user agent, browser characteristics) solely to tell humans apart from bots. According to Cloudflare, this data is not used for advertising or for tracking across websites. Any technical storage needed for the check is strictly necessary for the security of the form and does not require consent. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted on a virtual private server (VPS) that we manage ourselves and is delivered through Cloudflare's network (CDN and protection against attacks). For security and to keep the website running properly, we maintain technical server logs, which may include your IP address, browser type (user agent) and time of access. This processing does not rely on cookies and is based on our legitimate interests in the security and availability of the service.

Our Privacy Policy

For detailed information on how we process your personal data (e.g. through the contact form), the lawful basis, the recipients, the retention periods and your rights, please see our Privacy Policy.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Greek Law 4624/2019, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time (without affecting the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it).

To exercise your rights, or if you have any questions about this Cookie Policy, you can contact us at info@phoenixtech.gr. If you consider that the processing of your data infringes applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA, 1-3 Kifisias Avenue, 115 23 Athens, Greece, www.dpa.gr).
