At Phoenixtech, hosting runs on cloud servers in the EU, with NVMe drives that are much faster than standard SSDs. This means your pages load quickly and the site stays stable even at peak times.
The infrastructure is built for 99.9% uptime, with automatic failover to another machine and Cloudflare in front of the server. SSL (HTTPS) and site migration are free in every package. On Essential and Advanced, we also transfer your existing domain free of charge, while Ultimate includes a free domain.

How we protect every site we host
A security plugin on its own isn't enough. That's why every site and app we host is protected by five independent layers. If something gets past one layer, the next one catches it.
- Cloudflare at the front doorTraffic passes through Cloudflare first, which blocks DDoS attacks and malicious bots before they reach the server.
- Cloud hosting in the EUThe server has its own firewall and malware scanner. And if a machine fails, the site automatically keeps running on another.
- Inside the site itselfWe scan the site for malware every 6 hours. Before every update, we take a backup and test the update on a copy of the site first. If something breaks, the update is rolled back automatically.
- Backups in three placesIf a problem surfaces weeks later, we still have a clean copy from before and restore the site from it.
- Monitoring and responseIf the site goes down or malware is found, we're alerted automatically. With the Ultimate support package, we also handle critical incidents 24/7.
Where we keep copies of your site
If one copy is lost, even if the whole hosting provider goes down, the other two remain.
- On the hosting serverA daily backup on the server, plus another before every update, so we can restore the site in a few minutes.
- In an independent cloudAn encrypted backup four times a day, stored in a cloud separate from the hosting provider. We keep each one for 90 days, or 180 for online shops.
- Offline, at our officesOnce a month, we save a full copy to our own backup server, independent of any cloud provider.
For online shops, we also recommend real-time backup: every order is saved the moment it's placed, so no order is lost in a restore.

Frequently asked questions
What does 99.9% uptime mean?
It's the uptime target for our infrastructure: the aim is for your site to be online 99.9% of the time. The remaining 0.1% comes to about 43 minutes of downtime a month. If a machine fails, the site carries on running on another, and if the site itself goes down, we're alerted automatically so we can bring it back online.
Why NVMe rather than an ordinary drive?
NVMe drives are many times faster than traditional SSDs and HDDs. That means faster page loads and better PageSpeed results, which matter for SEO and even more for an online shop with lots of products.
Which hosting package is right for me?
Essential (10GB NVMe) is ideal for company websites and blogs. Advanced (20GB, more resources) suits sites with more traffic. Ultimate (40GB) is for demanding online shops with a large number of products and high traffic.
Can I move my existing site to you for free?
Yes. We move your site's files and database from your previous provider ourselves, at no charge. If you also take an email package, we migrate your email free of charge too.
Do you include a domain and SSL?
Free SSL (HTTPS) is included in every hosting package. A free domain comes with Ultimate. On Essential and Advanced, if you already have a domain, we transfer it free of charge; a new domain is charged separately.
